Corail Helicopters Mauritius’ H130 transported more than 100 tonnes of equipment and participated in removing at least 50 tonnes of crude oil.

On 25 July 2020, the Japanese bulk carrier Wakashio ran aground on a coral reef in Mauritius. In the weeks that followed, the ship began leaking oil, and broke apart in mid August.

In the first days after the accident, the H130 transported equipment – pumps and generators – to the wrecked ship, the heaviest of which weight almost 1.2 tonnes.
