While Peter celebrates his 10th anniversary at Airbus, his career has been, since the very beginning, a fulfilling one, starting in 2011, when he joined the A350 Programme to write up his final Master thesis. Shortly after his graduation, Peter integrated the team A350 XWB Product & Cabin 0 Project Management, witnessing the industrial birth and first flight of the A350 XWB.

Curiosity, passion and open-mindedness have led Peter to work in various departments, including the Research & Technology Innovation Cell, the Emerging Technology & Concepts Team, Technology Exploration, and Business Development for European Affairs. Today he is a Venture Architect at Airbus Innovation [X], founded in July 2021. Concretely, Peter is responsible for defining the field of opportunity and scope of the ventures and works with IATA and airlines companies. 

“I often have the opportunity to go on business trips to San Francisco, Nice, Bangalore and Shanghai. During my time abroad, I have the immense opportunity to meet ambassadors and governmental bodies to speak about the future developments needed in each country but also at international level. That is where I can measure the prestige and reputation of Airbus everywhere I go. Passion for products, people and progress are the main drivers when making business decisions. Actively shaping the future of flight is what makes me smile every day.”

Peter wears many hats and must develop all aspects of the venture with the target of shaping a safer and more sustainable air transport. As a project leader, he works in synergy with his team to manage projects from the beginning to the end. As a true entrepreneur, he leads with both creative and analytical tenacity and no challenge is too big.

What Peter likes the most in his career is the privilege to work with and learn from outstanding personalities. “I remember one of them was part of the Cupola development and superconductive experiments carried out aboard the ISS. And another one worked for NASA. It is always a special moment, when stealth projects go public. If you let yourself be inspired by your managers and colleagues, your full potential is revealed and you can really find your true calling.”
