Virginia is mapping the road towards the sixth generation of European fighter jets – and much more than that. As a Technical Manager located at Airbus’ site in Getafe near Madrid, she oversees the development of all technologies necessary for the first flight – projected for the second half of this decade.
After obtaining his certification, Nabin joined an aircraft manufacturing company as an Aircraft Fitter for four years before he was presented an opportunity to join Airbus New Zealand in 2018 as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Trainee. “Everyone here knew about Airbus and I was very keen to develop myself further with Airbus.” says Nabin, who has recently completed his 3-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineer traineeship.
While Peter celebrates his 10th anniversary at Airbus, his career has been, since the very beginning, a fulfilling one, starting in 2011, when he joined the A350 Programme to write up his final Master thesis. Shortly after his graduation, Peter integrated the team A350 XWB Product & Cabin 0 Project Management, witnessing the industrial birth and first flight of the A350 XWB.
With a strong desire to learn and develop herself, Valerie has progressed through many roles in her 25 years with Airbus. She started as a temporary worker in one of the Airbus joint ventures of the British aerospace and then, worked many years in the ATR company. Her opportunity to integrate the company as an employee, marked the start of her long and fulfilling career at Airbus.
Alisa recently joined the Airbus family in 2019 as a Data Analyst for the Data Engineering department in Space Systems Friedrichshafen. So far, Alisa had the opportunity to work on several exciting projects, spanning topics like satellite data processing using deep learning; linked data and graph algorithms.
Eugene started his career within the aerospace and aviation industry back in 2008 while pursuing his Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Systems with Singapore University of Social Science. “I was a Senior Avionics Technician performing line maintenance and operations for helicopters for 2 years before a friend of mine referred me to . It was a life changing moment with the opportunities given to me and being able to work with many helicopter enthusiasts.” says, Eugene who joined Airbus Helicopters in 2011.
